The rest of your website’s pages should be linked to off the homepage through a navigation bar or a different method. Get your web design on point and your search rankings will skyrocket.

3. Reconfigure Your URL’s

This is one of the simplest SEO hacks out there. To get your website to perform better, give all of the URLs on your website easy-to-read titles. Google prefers URL’s that are written in plain English.

For example, don’t make your URL “tigers.com/1233_5065.txt.” Change it to “tigers.com/10-best-tigers.” It makes it much easier for Google to identify your content.

4. Put Quality Outbound Links In Your Content

Google’s search algorithms are all about discerning high-quality content from low-quality content. High-quality content, in Google’s eyes, is content that is informative, authoritative and has a good reputation elsewhere on the web.

It’s important then, to get other sites to link to your website. There are ways to do this but a lot of that is out of your control. What you can do, however, is embed informative links to reputable websites into your content. In Google’s eyes, this means your content is informative, well-cited, and thusly, high-quality.

5. Build Internal Links

Similar to outbound linking, internal linking is another way to boost your search engine performance. They’re still not as powerful as inbound links, but they’re still very important to utilize.

An internal link is a link in one section of your website that takes you to another section of your website. Doing this creates “roads” Google can travel on when scanning your website. It allows Google to link related pages on your site together, potentially boosting both of them equally in search results.

The more internal links you use, the more easily Google can identify the structure of your website. And the more information has, the better (in this case).
